Author's Guideline
Manuscripts to be published in SJISSR must not have been previously published elsewhere, must comply with academic standards, and must be original. Papers that have not been previously published but have been presented at scientific meetings may be published in SJISSR, provided that they are converted into full article format. However, an author may not have more than one article published within the same volume. The responsibility for the ideas, opinions, findings, and recommendations expressed in the articles rests solely with the author(s).
GENERAL RULES
- National and international research and publication ethics principles must be observed. Manuscripts submitted to SJISSR must not have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
- The length of manuscripts, including tables and figures but excluding references, must be between 5,000 and 8,500 words. In exceptional cases, authors are advised to contact the editor.
- The publication rights of accepted articles belong to SJISSR. However, all articles published in SJISSR are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) and are published as open access. Under this license, content may be shared, copied, redistributed, and adapted, provided that appropriate credit is given, it is not used for commercial purposes, and derivative works are distributed under the same license. Authors agree to make their articles publicly accessible under this license.
- The manuscript file uploaded to the system must not contain author names.
- Submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial board in terms of technical and formal compliance. Manuscripts found suitable are sent to two reviewers within the framework of a double-blind peer review process. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the manuscript may be accepted, returned for revision, rejected, or sent to a third reviewer. The decision is communicated to the author.
- The journal’s publication languages are Turkish and English. For manuscripts written in Turkish, a Turkish Abstract and an English Abstract of no more than 250 words must be included. The title must be provided in both Turkish and English. At least three keywords must be indicated in both languages.
- English manuscripts and English abstracts must undergo language proofreading.
All manuscripts must be uploaded to the system together with a plagiarism report. Manuscripts with a similarity rate exceeding 20% will not be considered for peer review.
